A fun get-away: Tour de Loer in Rotterdam

From October 15 to November 6 you can play fun games in 10 different locations in the city centre of Rotterdam! The 'Jarige Job' (Birtday Kid) Foundation created 10 pop-up shops on a special route from the Groothandelsgebouw through the Koopgoot to the Markthal! You don't have to be bored this autumn holiday!

Come and play, move around and share fun times with friends in the pop-up shop in Markthal!

In the Markthal you can enjoy all kinds of E-sports in the unit Grotemarkt 88. House of E-sports created some great games that you can play.

The game gym wall zone is located on the Markthal side. Here you will find a game gym wall where different games can be played by throwing soft balls against the wall. In addition, there are various game cases with games where you can play Mario Kart and there is a dance floor with the Just Dance game. Dance with your friends and find out who has the best moves. Step into the race simulator and beat Max Verstappen!

On the second floor you will step into the world of the VR experience. By means of VR glasses you can virtually do sports and swim in the ocean, everything is possible!

The purpose of this experience is gain more awareness and promote donations for the charity Stichting Jarige Job!

In every pop-up shop you can give a small donation, with which the organization can make a birthday box so that even kids who are not so fortunate at home can have a nice birthday too.

A route has been mapped out in the city with several pop-up shops. You will experience something unique in every shop: immerse yourself in colorful scenes by great artists and take the most beautiful, funniest, craziest photos in instapproof decors. Also discover the best gift ever, stand on stage as an artist, play E-sports and much more! A digital tour guide accompanies you during your festive tour.

What is Foundation Jarige Job all about?

Every year in the Netherlands there are children who cannot celebrate their birthday because their family is not fortunate enough to have the money available. The Jarige Job Foundation helps these children by giving them a birthday box worth €35. It contains everything you need for a real birthday, at home and at school!
